Our Choirs

A lifetime of singing  starts here…

From kindergarten through adulthood, Voices in the Laurel provides opportunities for singers of all ages to develop their musical skills, experience the joy of choral singing, and grow through music in a welcoming community. Voices in the Laurel Choirs have four ensembles to support singers as they grow.

SPARK

Spark ( Formerly Treble Makers)

  • Primarily Kindergarten - 2nd Grades

  • No audition required

  • Singers learn about the singing voice, and are taught basic music skills

  • Sing in approximately three performances a year

IGNITE

Ignite (Formerly Youth Choir)

  • Primarily 3rd - 5th grades

  • Voice placement required

  • Singers learn intermediate music skills through skill-appropriate repertoire

  • Sing in up to three-five performances per year

RISE

Rise (Formerly Advanced Youth Choir)

  • Primarily 6th-12th grades

  • Voice placement required 

  • Sing more advanced music skills through advanced music.

  • Perform approximately three to four times a semester

HORIZON

Horizon (formerly Legacy Adult Choir)

  • Primarily post high school through adults.

  • Currently a treble choir consisting of women only. We are open to accepting tenors and basses (mostly men) when we have enough to balance the voice parts. 

  • Voice placement required

  • Advanced music 

  • Perform approximately three to five times a semester
