Treble Makers members may join at the beginning of the season, no audition is necessary.
Concert Choir and Chamber Choir must pass a musical audition. Open auditions for this semester are Monday, August 10 and Tuesday August 18 from 5:00 - 7:00 at Long's Chapel United Methodist Church in Waynesville. Each singer must bring a prepared piece to sing. Examples would be a song sung at school or church, or a general song such as "My Country Tis of Thee." The director will then lead the singer through some vocal exercises. Previous musical experience is helpful, but not necessary.
Our regular season and rehearsals begin in August and run through May. Optional activities are available during the summer to all choristers in Voices in the Laurel. Early auditions and registration (benefits include discounts and summer fund-raising opportunities) take place in May and June prior to the beginning of the season in August.

Orientation will take place on August 25, and rehearsals will begin that day. For an audition appointment or information about the audition, call (828) 734-8413. You will be informed at that time how and what to purchase for your child's uniform.
